VEHICLES OF INQUIRY: A Contemplative Journey

This book has been designed to add a touch of the playful and profound to your own journey. Each vehicle in the book is driven by one of the twenty life search questions. A list of possibilities for using the questions are printed on the last page of the book. You may choose to follow the path in solitude or in a group.
Three possible applications are suggested here:
* As a private journal, each question can be thoughtfully pondered and then the answers can be written in a spontaneous stream of consciousness or studied prose and poetry. The page with no image but only background has been left for your answer.
* It can be its own vehicle for social dialogue. At a couples’ dinner party a different question can be placed under each plate at the table. After the meal is completed, one at a time each guest can be invited to pull out their question from under the plate and respond to the question. Passing is always an option, but it does engender meaningful dialogue. It has been used with women’s study groups and family settings.
* In small groups of children through adults, the book can encourage coming up with your own questions to drive your own creative vehicles. Through doodling thumbnails and use of available art media, each participant can create a new vehicle for the journey.
